Injectable anti-anemic solution for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in piglets, calves, and foals.
DESCRIPTION:
Ferro 100 is an injectable restorative formulated with iron dextran and vitamin B12, designed to prevent and treat anemia caused by iron deficiency in piglets aged 1 to 10 days, calves, and foals under a milk-fed regimen. Its therapeutic action promotes red blood cell formation, improving oxygenation and cellular metabolism. Additionally, it contributes to strengthening the immune system, reducing vulnerability to diseases in young animals.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
- Iron Dextran 100 mg/ml
- Vitamin B12 1 mg/ml
METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Dosage:
- Piglets: 1 – 2 ml
- Calves and foals: 4 ml
- Adult cattle: 4 – 8 ml

Procedure:
- Administer intramuscularly in the neck or thigh region.
- Administer to piglets between the first and tenth day of life.
- For calves and foals, apply during the first week of life.

Precautions:
- Do not administer to animals affected by hematozoa.
- Do not use in adult pigs, as it may cause condemnation.
- Avoid use in pregnant females.
- Do not overdose or administer with oral iron preparations.
- In case of allergic reactions, use epinephrine or antihistamines.
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
