MELOXIC TABLETS - PROVET
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic action for the treatment of pain and inflammation in dogs and cats.
DESCRIPTION:
Meloxic Tablets is a veterinary medicine formulated with Meloxicam, an NSAID with selective action on COX-2, which reduces inflammation and pain without affecting the gastric mucosa or renal function.
This product is ideal for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, such as hip dysplasia, arthritis, osteoarthritis, and spondylitis. It is also used to reduce pre- and postoperative pain in orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
Each tablet contains:
- Meloxicam: 2 mg
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Dosage:

Dogs:
- Day 1: 0.2 mg/kg (1 tablet per 10 kg of weight).
- Following days: 0.1 mg/kg (1 tablet per 20 kg of weight), for 5 to 7 days.

Cats:
- 0.1 mg/kg every 24 hours, as directed by a veterinarian.
Procedure:
- Administer orally, preferably with food.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Consult a veterinarian before extending treatment.
Precautions:
- Do not administer to dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive animals, as it may increase renal toxicity.
- Do not combine with other NSAIDs or glucocorticoids.
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
