MELOXISAN
An anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic injectable solution based on meloxicam, indicated as a complementary treatment to antibiotics in infectious diseases and musculoskeletal inflammatory processes.
DESCRIPTION:
Meloxisan is a veterinary medicine formulated with meloxicam (2 g/100 ml), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts by selectively inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme, reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever.
It is indicated as a parallel treatment to antibiotics in cases of pneumonia, gastroenteritis, mastitis, foot rot, and other infectious diseases, as well as in musculoskeletal inflammatory processes. Its comprehensive action contributes to improving animal welfare, accelerating recovery, and optimizing the clinical response to infections and inflammatory conditions.
COMPOSITION (per 100 ml):
- Meloxicam: 2 g
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Dosage:
- Cattle and horses: 1 ml per 40 kg of live weight
- Pigs and sheep: 1 ml per 50 kg of live weight
- Deep intramuscular route
Procedure:
- Administer by deep intramuscular injection.
- Adjust the dosage according to the animal's species and clinical condition.
PRECAUTIONS:
