Oral anticoccidial based on toltrazuril, indicated in calves and piglets for the control and treatment of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria spp. and Isospora suis.
DESCRIPTION:
Tolcox is a broad-spectrum anticoccidial formulated with 5% toltrazuril, highly effective against the main species of coccidia affecting cattle and swine. Its action eliminates the intracellular development stages of parasites, preventing diarrhea, weight loss, and complications associated with coccidiosis.
In calves, it acts against Eimeria bovis, Eimeria zuerneii, and Eimeria alabamensis, while in piglets it controls Isospora suis, one of the most common agents of neonatal diarrhea. Tolcox is especially useful in prevention and treatment programs, ensuring healthier animals with better growth and higher productive performance.
Single-dose administration facilitates on-farm management, reducing animal stress and ensuring reliable results under veterinary supervision.
COMPOSITION (per ml):
- Toltrazuril: 5%
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Dosage:
- Swine: on day 3–5 of life, a single dose of 20 mg/kg (equivalent to 1 ml per 2.5 kg of body weight).
- Cattle: a single dose of 15 mg/kg (equivalent to 3 ml per 10 kg of body weight).
- Oral administration.
Procedure:
- Administer directly orally.
- Adjust dosage according to body weight and age of the animal.
PRECAUTIONS:
- For veterinary use only.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Administer only under professional supervision.
- Store in a cool place, protected from light.
- Keep out of reach of children.
